Message but matted/yarn insulation did.
i got a 4x6' peice of matted/yarn insulation that has a silver polymer backing to it, for $20.oo from autozone.
I cut them into pieces and fold them over a few times (as required) and stuffed them into all empty spaces under the rear cover, under the hatch, etc.

it was cheaper then dynomat and seemd to have make a small difference.

keep in mind, the road noise you are hearing is being transmitted via the suspension into the entire unibody. dynomat will not put a dent in this, unless you dampen all the external body panels too (nothing like some added weight, eh?). I'd try that foam filler crap if i wasnt concerned about rust forming (i am concerned).

the absolute number one best thing you can do to prevent road based noise, is to go with a very very soft subframe bushing and shock mount bushing (non performance obviously).

imho.
